Q:

abortion in new york city, Early abortion Options, Best abortion Clinic new york city

A: Dear Kelly, Your questions are excellent and you came to the right place!  I am a doctor who specializes in private early abortion services in new york city.  Unfortunately, most abortions in new york city are performed in high volume abortion clinics, like the one you describe. Many women do not know their early abortion options, and are only familiar with surgical abortions, or D&C"s. They do not know that they can get an early abortion at a private office, instead of an
Q:

Early abortions, new york city, new Jersey, Aspiration Procedure, early abortion, abortion pill

A: Dear Natalie, Thank you for your question about early abortions in new york city and new Jersey.  Many women are not aware that they have more options in terminating a pregnancy if they are less than 10 weeks pregnant.   My preferred method for early abortion is the Aspiration Procedure.  This nonsurgical, noninvasive procedure only takes a few minutes to complete.  It is a natural procedure and does not involve electric suction, scraping of the uterus, or general sedation.  Most women describe the procedure as similar to getting a pap smear.  You recover immediately, and can resume your normal activities...
Q:

price of abortion

A: Hi, Ryan, Getting into the military sometimes seems to complicate things. And I will try to deal with that issue as well. I think you are only figuring on the price up front of an abortion. There are many hidden costs that you must take into account. First of all, what if she has a complication? Then you have additional medical care to pay for. abortion is not safe, and even though she might be lucky, she might not, and some of the complications can be severe. They can even kill her. This is compounded by the fact that a lot of abortionists don"t take good care of a woman who is experiencing a complication. It"s not uncommon that when a woman needs to go to the emergency room, they won"t take her. They don"t...
Q:

medical abortion failed, incomplete abortion, aspiration procedure, abortion pill, cytotec

A: Dear Marilyn, You have excellent questions. I am always impressed with women who do their research when they need to get an abortion.  Most women do not know all of their options in the area of early abortion. Here are my thoughts on your questions: 1) No - measuring the thickness of the endometrium DOES NOT correlate with retained products or incomplete abortion.  The only reason to do an aspiration abortion procedure after a medical abortion is if 1) there is a continuing pregnancy; 2) the pregnancy is over but a sac remains, and the women does not want to pass it naturally. 3) A woman experiences lengthy or heavy bleeding or continued cramping....
Q:

pregnancy after abortion..?

A: Hi Megan - I really am not sure what he means.  It is not a term I use.  I"ve been a doctor for 20 years, and have never referred to a "bulky" uterus after an abortion. Did he do an ultrasound, or only an exam?  It sounds like everything is normal.  It is very common to have a delayed period after an abortion.  I have seen it be delayed normally for up to 3 months.  The only issue is potentially getting pregnant again.   You can check a pregnancy test weekly to be 100% sure - but in general a pregnancy test will turn positive about 10 days after unprotected sex.  Hopefully, you started on some more reliable form of birth control.  Withdrawal is not a reliable method.   I hope this is...
Q:

Clotting after medical abortion, bleeding and the abortion pill

A: As long as you are not having fever or pain, or heavy bleeding that lasts for more than a few days, you should be fine.  It is normal to have sensitivity in your breasts for weeks to months after ending a pregnancy.  It is best not to stimulate them, if possible. Doctor Joan http://www.earlyabortionoptions.com new york city...
Q:

fertility after abortion, safe abortion, early abortion

A: Dear Jyo, I"m not sure if I understand your question.  You should use Plan B only if you have had unprotected sex in the past 5 days (the earlier you take it, the more effective it is.)  It is not used to bring on a late period, and this would only confuse your body even more, hormonally speaking.   I hope this is helpful, Doctor Joan EarlyabortionOptions.com new york city...

A: Dear Naina, I am so glad everything worked out. I hope this is helpful, Doctor Joan EarlyabortionOptions.com new york city...
Q:

Bleeding after abortion Pill, cramping after abortion pill

A: Dear Mary, Thank you for your question about bleeding and cramping after the abortion Pill. It is common and normal to have bleeding that stops for weeks, and then starts again after taking the abortion Pill.  Sex stimulates the uterus to contract, and helps the uterus to expel any residual blood, tissue, or clots that are remaining in the uterus.  This should be seen as a positive sign, and need not make you worry.  Cramping that comes and goes is normal.  Cramping that is constant for more than 24 hours, keeps getting worse and does not respond to 800 mg of ibuprofen needs to be evaluated.  These symptoms can indicate that some tissue got "stuck" in your cervix, and needs to be evaluated.   Bleeding after...
Q:

Parental consent for abortion?

A: Dear Frosh, Yes, in new york State, a woman of any age can get medical services, including an abortion, without parental notification. It is possible for minors to have an abortion without notifying their parents in some other states as well. Check out Planned Parenthood`s state list for more information about state laws on mandatory parental involvement and notification. General information about how states regulate abotion is available from the Guttmacher Institute in State Facts About abortion. Regardless of a state`s parental notification laws, there may be laws prohibiting abortions after a certain point in the pregnancy. In states that...
