A: How long has the patient been off Coumadin? So he was bed ridden for the full 2 weeks. He should be recovering as soon as he gets off the Coumadin. 3-4 days and he shall have it out of his system. then he will start to heal. If he does not have high blood pressure or on a restrictive diet gargle with salt water. That should help the sores in his mouth. the platlets will be fine in a few days. Giving a patient who is bed ridden, induction of coumadin is proper protocol. A: Hi,Please apply Mucopain and Hexigel ointments three times daily on the affected area with the help of yourfinger tip .After applying Mucopain, give half an hour gap and apply Hexigel .Again don?t consume anything forhalf an hour . then apply after 5 -6 hours or earlier in the same manner .
