Q:

How accurate are blood tests for detecting cancer, can it be trusted or can it miss some forms of cancer?

A: Not very accurate if used solely on their own. Usually an analysis of other symptoms along with a range of blood tests may confirm that there is something not quite right, which may require further detailed tests and evaluations. for instance a Full blood Count test gives a lot of information, which in conjunction with other symptoms may establish the need for more specific tests that could identify the particular ailment more precisely. Q:

if i take creatie will it show up on a blood test for accutane

A: 1. Creatine does not increase testosterone. 2. Creatine on Accutane is not a good idea. They both tax your liver. 3. Eat everything you can get your hands on and you will have no need for creatine That is all. I had the same situation, so I could give you an advice. Problem is that Creatine takes water and stores it in your muscles to aid in their growth. This leaves less overall water available to the rest of the body, which is why you need excess amounts. I have used it while on Accutane with no problems, so just get your...

It`s not recommended as a routine screening test, though. for one thing, AFP levels can be raised by

Q:

How can i get tested for liver diseases?

A: The best way to start is to see a primary care medical provider- a Physician, Physician Assistant or a Nurse Practitioner, who can order appropriate laboratory tests, take a medical history and perform a physical exam. Laboratory is generally ordered, usually a chemistry panel known as an SMA-22 or Comprehensive Metabolic panel, which includes liver enzymes. Then, if the liver enzymes show abnormalities, and/or you have a history of risk factors for various types of hepatitis, and/or abnormal findings on exam, a hepatitis screening panel is ordered. There are a number of different types of liver diseases, and depending on lab, physical exam...
