Did you know that second-hand smoke is the most preventable disease?

A: the only person I know that smokes inside is my uncle. Fortunately, he lives alone. Personally, I refuse to allow people to smoke inside my home or vehicle. My 75 year old mother still does. I rarely visited when I lived closer to her because it only took a 5 minute visit before my clothes and hair were consumed with the stuff. I would need to take a shower and change my clothes as soon as I returned home from visiting her. I now live an hour away, so I don''t visit as much as I used to. She does try to not smoke around visitors now, but

Q:

My neigbors smoke in their townhome but you can smell it in mine...should I complain?

A: i would. i definatley would. how annoying that must be. i hate it when i go to my moms house for just a couple hours and when i leave my stuff smells like smoke Hmmmmmm . . . . . .. . good question. We have had that problem periodically in our building but never to the extent you are experiencing. I say yes, go ahead and complain and then let it go. If there is something the office can do, they''ll do it. If there is nothing they can do, at least you''ll know that. I would ask if there''s anything the management can do...
Q:

If NJ Governor Chris Christie ever ran for President of the US, do you think his weight should be or would be a factor in his ability to be elected?

A: I think that he would be praised for his policies not his avoir dupois.. Someone should do some research into what happened to other fat Presidents in our history. I wonder if they had any particular health problems while in office. I wonder how old they were when they died.. Aside from that, I agree with @marinelife that his policies are what are important. however, I do not agree that he should be praised for them.. I am thinking if there were any other fat presidents (which there probably were) in US history, it...

Q:

My husband has an addiction problem that he continues to deny and he gets angry anytime I try to bring it up. About 6 months ago I saw a significant change in him and suspected he was snorting cocaine. I found razor blades and empty pens laying around in the garage and he had the classic constant runny nose. Recently I think he''s switched to using heroin, I saw a text from a friend talking about it. He lies to me about where he goes and why he''s broke, he just continues to deny any drug use. I''m lost and don''t know where to turn or what to do. I''m worried about him committing suicide if I leave but I''m making myself miserable by staying. how do I help him and myself with this addiction?

A: I understand your pain, confusion, and anger. My husband has been an addict for over 8 years. When we got married, I thought he was clean. After a few months, I noticed drastic changes in his behavior, attitude, and overall life pattern. He continually lied to me for months. It is extremely frustrating to love someone and want to help them when they do not want help. however, the one thing I have learned and can tell you, is that the longer you stay, the more angry and miserable you will become. You will start to resent him and it isn''t fair to you not to live your life the way you wanted to live it. I finally did...

Q:

how To Get Cigarette smoke Out of blankets and sleeping bag and Friend issue?

A: I had a friend like that once only she smelled really bad of cats and litter Boxes . i sat her down and told her she needed to behave in my house and respect my stuff and my home. This friend of yours needs to have a serious talk with her parents about the issue of breathing second hand smoke, 24/7. I had a friend a few years ago who was a chain smoker, spending over $100.00 per month on his nicotine habit, a form of drug addiction. Not only did the second hand smoke kill his wife, it even killed there short nose pet dog. He

Q:

how to get an infant to sleep on his back?

A: Plenty of medical professionals will tell you that once a baby can turn his head, he`s ok to sleep on his stomach. Just keep blankets/stuffed toys away from his face, and honestly, let him do what works for him. I`m a parent myself and don`t mean to sound glib, but you sound like you are worrying way too much about something that is obviously working for you!. My wife is a doctor and (admittedly irrationally) obsessed about SIDS. Other factor in SIDS that minimize an already incredible rare event: Airflow. Keep a fan going. Do not smoke in the house. Do not co-sleep. Do not drink and co-sleep (obviously not SIDs, but these accidental suffocations are tallied with SIDs). 18lbs at 4 months?!...
