Q:

What are some ways to help predict a woman''s fertility cycle?

A: In all actuality, it''s impossible to tell exactly when a woman is most fertile without a doctor and a vaginal ultrasound machine next to the bed at all times. But there are ways to ''almost'' know when a woman has reached her peak fertility. Of course, there are OPK kits or Ovulation Predictor Kits. There are two different forms of these tests; mid-stream and the test strips. The mid-stream works exactly like a pregnancy test as far as how it is used. Just as the name indicates, you hold it mid-stream while urinating onto it. The test strips; however, will not work if they are used in this manner. Instead, you should urinate into a clean cup and then dip the stick or test strip into the cup as the package instructions indicate. Both tests are looking for an LH surge; which indicates...

Q:

Can stage 3 cancer patient can be cured?

A: Don''t know for sure, but try this, Try Vitamin C therapy. A few years ago a cancer specialist came out with a paper that said the best cancer/infection fighter found to date was Interferon. At the time it was $15,000 a gram. The paper also said that Interferon was a by-product of the natural breakdown of Vitamin C in your body. Shortly after that the FDA tried to make Vitamin C by prescription only. Guess why? The FDA has the Rda for Vitamin C set at 64 mg a day, just enough to ward off scurvy. Linus Pauling, who got a Nobel Prize for his work with Vitamin C and a second Nobel Prize for Organic Chemistry, said that 1000 mg a day should be the minimum and 2000 mg a day if you are sick or smoke. He played tennis almost daily until the day he died at 96. Personally, I got sick twice a year...

When you go low, you body may start to twitch a bit or you''ll get clammy. That''s what they respond to, they know something''s wrong, and they''ll nudge you awake. If I had some type of cancer that had gone to the stage of spreading to my lymph nodes would blood tests show?

A: Try this to help. It couldn''t hurt. Try Vitamin C therapy. A few years ago a cancer specialist came out with a paper that said the best cancer/infection fighter found to date was Interferon. At the time it was $15,000 a gram. The paper also said that Interferon was a by-product of the natural breakdown of Vitamin C in your body. Q:

4th Stage Lung Cancer

A: fourth stage is the most advanced form of lung cancer. 0 to 1 is the beginning. By the fourth stage you can only hope the person is comfortable and cared for; this is the stage in which it spreads to other parts of the body. Cant say how long that person has, but the doctor should be able to predict. The family really should know the outcome of the fourth stage, it is best to be prepared for any eventuality. I am sure it would benefit her as well, then she can be made as comfortable as possible. Maybe they can do something for her that she has always wanted to do, a trip, or whatever. This really doesnt have to be the most depressing time ever you know, for her or for any other family member. thank you again for your reply - they still have not asked the question I have tried to speak...
Q:

Stage 7 Alzheimer"s

A: Norma, thanks for explaining. I"m amazed you can get her upright at all. My mother in law would screech and claw if we tried to stand her up. I think she was so weak, and the floor looked so far away from her depth perception problems, that she was totally terrified. She got me but good a couple of times with her nails when I was trying to move her from a chair because she"d clutch my arm like she was hanging over a vat of alligators.   As you say, its so hard to know - I"m glad the hospice workers have said that. Really, when it comes down to it, a declining caloric intake and subsequent weight loss are probably the best sign, since the "anorexia" (loss of appetite and interest in nourishment) leads to weakness, a declining immune system and organ failures. We did have a...

Q:

Mother in Stage 7

A: Hi Connie, any time there is a precipitous decline like this, something has happened other than the progress of the illness. My first thought would be some undiagnosed infection, like a UTI. It seems counterintuitive, but the very smallest thing can throw them almost into a stupor. It"s like they are just holding on with their fingernails and trying their very best with what they have left - and an infection that might make you or I feel a bit off or sleepy or out of it - will make them appear dramatically worse on the cognitive front. UTIs are a very common culprit, and often go undiagnosed. The elderly may not show any symptoms at all, other than the dramatic change in cognition and behavior. Other possibilities - other illness that hasn"t been detected, or even a small stroke....

Q:

Stage IV Malignant Melanoma

A: Yes that is unfortunately true. It is not possible to be very precise in such a prediction but it is probably close.  Well since his melanoma has spread to several sites it will probably spread to even more . His symptoms will depend on which sites that are hit by his tumor. It is therefore impossible to predict which symptoms that will dominate his picture. Please do keep me posted!...
