Q:

symptoms of prostate cancer?

A: Prostate cancer usually doesn''t produce any noticeable symptoms in its early stages, so many cases of prostate cancer aren''t detected until the cancer has spread beyond the prostate. For most men, prostate cancer is first detected during a routine screening such as a prostate-specific antigen (PSA) test or a digital rectal exam (DRE). When signs and symptoms do occur, they depend on how advanced the cancer is and how far the cancer has spread. Early signs and symptoms of prostate cancer can include urinary problems, caused when the prostate tumor presses on the bladder or on the tube that carries urine from the bladder (urethra). However, urinary symptoms are much more commonly caused by...

Q:

What are the symptoms of prostate cancer in the initial and terminal phases?

A: this is quite an obscure question so is hard to answer without more details. initially men may experience difficulty in passing urine. the prostate gland increases in size and therefore hinders the passage of urine. men will have difficulty emptying their bladder fully. this leads to frequency of needing to pass urine, urgency to pass urine and increased need to get up and pass urine. urine infections also can occur due to poor bladder evacuation. as the disease progress these symptoms may increase..there may be pressure down bellow and they may experience constipation. there may be blood in the urine and as it really progresses and the cancer spreads (often to the bones), they may experience bone pain. i was a senior staff nurse on a surgical ward for some years...

Q:

Post Chlamydia symptoms

A: John, about 50 of men who acquire Chlamydia never develop symptoms.  The typical symptoms are penile discharge and burning with urination.  Occasionally the infection can spread into the scrotum causing epididymitis (an inflammation of the tubes behind the testis that transport sperm).  Chlamydia does not generally cause genital odor, especially when there is no discharge. The odor may be due to improper genital hygiene, especially in the uncircumcised man.  If you are not circumcised, use the following regimen daily.  In the shower. pull  back to expose the glans penis completely, wash thoroughly with soap and water then pat dry.  Next apply 3% hydrogen peroxide (available over-the-counter from your local...

Q:

Prostate enlargment

A: Kevin, it appears that your symptoms are probably coming from the prostate gland.  However, there are many disorders of the prostate that may produce them including prostatitis, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) , and prostate cancer.  The latter 2 are unusual at age 39 while prostatitis is very common.  Interestingly, Avodart is used for BPH (as is its forerunner Proscar) and not prostatitis.  However, sometimes the 2 conditions may coexist.  I doubt you have prostate cancer but to ease your mind, ask your doctor to do a PSA.  If this is normal along with a prostate gland that is not suspicious for cancer on digital examination,  the likelihood of cancer...
