Q:
Could low potassium, lump by left rib be leukemia?
A: Hello, First off, this would not be symptoms of leukemia in and of themselves but can be symptoms of many conditions. The lump could be a swollen lymph node which your body uses to fight infection of any type. You should talk to a doctor about the fatigue because that symptom alone is not enough to diagnose. I assume you are doing that since you had blood work done. Thyroid can fluctuate when the gland is not functioning properly and this can be a cause of the fatigue. I don''t know what is causing the swelling behind your knees - again you need to see a doctor to determine the cause. Popping joints happen to everyone and some people do get...

Q:
low potassium level and PVC''S
A: I know there has been no replies to my question but I thought I would just place an update as I have been to see my Dr. Here in the Uk the potassium connection with pvc''s does not seem to be well known. The Dr agreed that my potassium levels in past year ( there were 4 results) were all within normal range but lower than 4. Mostly 3.6-3.8. She said this would be due to having leaky kidneys which I have had all my life but I was still maintaining a potassium level within the normal range. She advised me to eat more bananas, green leafy veg and fruit juices to see if this would increase my potassium levels to above 4. She did not want to give me a potassium supplement as she said these could raise my levels too much...

Q:
what are the Effects of low Renin Levels?
A: Renin is an enzyme, or protein, that controls the body`s blood pressure. It is made by the kidneys and can be measured to indicate a problem with the adrenal glands and their production of the hormone aldosterone. Usually, low renin levels correspond to high levels of aldosterone. Those with high aldosterone levels have a condition called hyperaldosteronism, which is a form of hypertension. low renin levels therefore are associated with symptoms of hypertension, and may also correlate to low potassium in a condition known as Conn`s syndrome.. Q:
what is Potassium Deficiency?
A: Potassium deficiency, also known as hypokalemia, is a condition in which the body is operating with a low amount of potassium. This deficiency can be created by a number of different factors. These include prolonged periods of stress, an abnormally high amount of potassium lost through bowel movements and urination, certain medications, and as a complication of other health problems. Q:
what Is the Connection Between Hypokalemia and Alkalosis?
A: Alkalosis is a complication associated with hypokalemia. A condition defined by a great potassium deficiency, hypokalemia can contribute to a buildup of alkali in the body resulting in alkalosis. Treatment for hypokalemia involves the administration of supplemental potassium to restore balance. If hypokalemia-related alkalosis occurs and potassium levels remain low, kidney failure can occur. If left untreated, hypokalemia and alkalosis can be fatal.. A diagnosis of hypokalemia and alkalosis is generally confirmed with a blood panel. Markers indicative of low potassium can prompt additional testing to assess creatinine, hormone, and calcium levels. Urinalysis may also be performed to evaluate kidney function. If...
