Ok, well you say the pain has gone down, which is good, but this still could be risky. This is kind of the area where your appendix is, so there''s always this possibility... if the pain comes back or gets worse, you must get to hospital. Far better than me jabbering away is this website, you can answer all the questions, and they will advise you what''s best to do. http://www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk/help/bodykey/Questions/Index.aspx?nodes=FlgWPcj%2f1Ow%3d (I feel sort of weird directing you here, what the the current controversy about the NHS in the USA - I live in the UK, and all I can say is that this website is...

Q:
what causes severe stomach pain, vomiting, dysentery, and lots of belching?
A: 1. it could be anything actually. ranging from acidosis to appendicitis.. if i was in that position i would get it checked out by more physicians because the same doctor might think its something when its really something else because he missed a symptom or he''s just making things up and doesn''t know what is really going on. 2. Kittie, this is a million to one shot from a person called Noidea, but have his doctors tested him for Neuroendocrine tumors? This requires a blood test for Chromogranin A, platelet serotonin and a 24 hour test for urinary 5HIAA, a serotonin derivative. Neuroendocrine tumors take an average of five to nine years to diagnose and are frequently misdiagnosed as IBS, asthma, hypochondria etc because they are so rare. Nexium may affect the...

Q:
can acid reflux disease cause severe stomach pain?
A: 1. You might have some ulcers in your stomach or small intestine. Go back to your gastroenterologist and ask for more diagnostic testing like an endoscopy where they put a scope down your esophagus (while you are sedated) and look at your stomach lining. Edit: It''s my understanding that an upper GI is a series of Xrays taken after you drink a ghastly Barium solution. Reflux is often diagnosed in this way. 2. When I had the upper GI and they said I had acid reflux, I thought they had missed something as well. My symptoms were not extreme pain in my stomach, it was extreme pain in my chest. I described it that I felt like an elephant was sitting on my chest. I would get extremely lightheaded, and found that If I...

Q:
what causes severe chest pain upon ingestion of acidic fluids or foods?
A: Diet soda does that to me too... especially on an empty stomach. It is horrible.
The chest pain occurs when your stomach acid splashes up from your stomach and into your esophagus. It can also come from spasms with in your esophagus itself. Your esophagus is the tube that connects your mouth to your stomach and it lies in your middle chest area. Many people confuse the pain that occurs with these issues with having a heart attack, it can be THAT intense.
That having been said, don''t ignore chest pain. Talk with your doctor to make sure it is coming from acid reflux and get it treated. If you have this kind of pain...

what could causing severe stomach pain due to a PEG tube?
A: 1. I WOULD go back to the ER and let them know about your appointment on Monday. Tell them you''re in EXTREME pain. By common sense, I would think they''d give you an Ultrasound. How else can they say what''s happening inside your body? It is YOUR RIGHT to be seen and taken care of. If they don''t do this, I would SERIOUSLY go to a different ER. Doctors aren''t always right....
