Q:

what kind of sick am i?

A: Hello Nikkidawn, I see that you are asking about what you have, and what you should do. You say you have a headache, cough, swollen neck (is it around your ears?) and a really sore throat. I don''t know how long you''ve had this, but, you should see your doctor or medical professional-get a throat culture (to rule out strep throat), and be examined. You might have the flu, or a very bad cold. However, it is important to test the sore throat to avoid future problems, so see your physician as soon as you can get in. Best of luck to you, kind Regards, Anne Gor

Q:

what kind of physical activity should be avoided during jaundice?

A: Jaundice is the most common liver disorder and is characterized by the yellowing of the eyes and skin. The liver processes bilirubin and converts it into bile which is a vital digestive fluid. In patients suffering from jaundice, the liver ceases its bile production leading to elevated levels of bilirubin in the bloodstream. As the body does not produce bile, the digestion of food is slower and a patient may experience various mild stomach disorders like loose motions, nausea and vomiting. The liver is responsible for the proper disposal of toxins as well as the control of enzymes that control the various systems (circulatory, digestive,...
Q:

Please describe what type of headache you have

A: Sammy, I had started having headaches real severe last year. docs kept telling me it was probably due to cervical problems as I had a fusion years ago and MRI shows canal is narrowing pressing on nerves. However, as the headaches got worst and more frequent I continued to look for answers. ENT did a CT on my sinuses and found I had a severe infection. Treatment with three drugs for three weeks have done wonders. Latest CT showed it was nearly cleared and headaches have gone. Oh, I still have a pain if I move my neck too quickly which can still cause a headache, but nothing like I was having previously.

Q:

Why has a head been hurting continously for about 3 weeks now when you have taken every kind of medication there is and the doctors are all quacks. Needing help what causes a headache for this long?

A: This is difficult to answer without more information--it''s important to know where the pain is, what type (aching, stabbing, throbbing), and what intensity. However, sinus headaches are a possibility as they can last quite a long time and do not respond very well to pain medication alone. If it is a sinus headache, you need to take something to get rid of the problem in the sinuses, like Mucinex, for instance, along with the pain medication. don''t expect it to help immediately, but within a day or so the pain should get better. This type of headache would be...

Q:

what kind of doctor should I see for what seems to be chronic head aches and migraines?

A: start with your family docter they might refer you to a specialist You should see a neurologist. You might also want to see a vascular specialist to determine if they''re triggered by constriction of blood vessels. Most insurance companies require a referral from your primary care physician, but you should mention you''d like to see a specialist. My brother had severe migraines as a child. He went to a massage therapist, and after about 4 sessions, he hasn''t had them again. You might also want to try an acupunturist-- I was skeptical when I went to mine, but it was quite amazing. I had a shoulder problem, and she was able to stick a needle in the right place and the pain just melted away. Once she took the needle out, it came right back,...
Q:

I have an awful headache that feels really tight in my temples. what causes this kind of headache? (I''ve also had some vomiting today which may or may not be related....)

A: It could be a migraine, but then again it could be what is called a "tension" headache. A tension headache feels like you area wearing a very tight hairband. You are probably experiencing some hormonal changes due to your pregnancy. You should see your doctor and discuss these changes with him/her. Every woman experiences some type of change in her body and more often than not, these changes disappear after the first trimester, as does the "morning sickness". The most important thing to remember is that anything you take for these headaches and/or any other problem you have...
Q:

what kind of a headache is this?

A: -:¦:-•:*''''*:•.-:¦:-•*Welcome to MyMigraineConnection!*•-:¦:-•:*''''*:•.-:¦:-     Nobody can diagnose you via the Internet, but let me give you some information you can discuss with your doctor. OK?   You don''t say how long these stabbing headaches last, but if they''re brief, they may be ice pick headaches. You can read more about that in Ice Pick headaches - The Basics.   You really need to see a doctor. Unexplained headaches should always be checked out to be sure there''s nothing serious going on such as an aneurysm,...
Q:

what kind of doctor should I see for my migraines?

A: Dear Av2245 -   If your doctor isn''t able to help you, it may well be time to consult a Migraine and headache specialist. It''s important to note that neurologists aren''t necessarily Migraine and headache specialists. Take a look at the article Migraine and headache Specialists - what''s So Special? If you need help finding a Migraine specialist, check our listing of Patient Recommended Migraine and headache Specialists.   Good luck to you!   - Megan...
Q:

what kinds of food can help a migraine headache? please give me answers?

A: 1. my brother gets migraines, i heard protein could help 2. It may be a question of eliminating foods, not taking foods. If you figure out what TRIGGERS the migraine to begin with, you won''t get them so much and you won''t have the problem. Start a food diary. Many additives, preservatives and even some ''natural'' foods cause migraines. For example: MSG, sulfites, sulphates, phosphates, nitrates, artificial sweeteners, high fructose corn syrup, aged cheese, pickles, vinegar, oranges, chocolate (for some), and so on. Up your water intake. I have no ''thirst'' trigger for some reason. I used to drink all of 8-12 ounces of fluid per day! Once I started forcing myself to drink water...

Q:

Different kind of headache?

A: Hi! Have you been to your doctor regarding your headache? Why did you have the neck plate fusion? Have you had followup with the docs who did the fusion? bill Bill: had a follow up, actually few with surgeon. He states that headaches are unrelated to the surgery or neck. I never had clusters before either and started getting after surgery. Had 2 ruptures and 1 buldge. Have neuropathy. No one seems concerned about the headaches, so assume they may be muscle related. Actually, no one was concerned about my neck pain for a year either until I requested an MRI after putting up with severe weakness and arm pain. It was also assumed to be muscle related. Fooled them! I...
