Q:

what@@## kind of headaches wake you at 5 a.m?

A: I wake with migraine early in the morning. Usually anytime from 1am to 3am so it''s a bit different from you. But I thought I''d pass on something I learned only recently. Sleep apnea can cause waking with migraine. I had been told this, but had dismissed it even though I suspected I did have sleep apnea.   Finally, out of desperation I went off to see a sleep specialist and was tested overnight in hospital for sleep apnea and it was found that I had mild sleep apnea in my light sleep which progressed to moderate to severe in deep sleep. I had to have another overnight stay in hospital to be tested to see
Q:

what@@## kind of seizure?

A: Temporal lobe seizures can be complex partials, but cp''s can also come from other lobes... Has your doctor checked into syncope as a cause for your seizures? have you looked that up? Partials can do weird things and those feelings sure sound seizurey...glad you have a good neuro. My son also has most of his seizures in sleep. yeah I''ve been lucky to have all my seizures in my sleep. About a year and a half ago I went on a cruise with my family and I don''t know why but I had two seizures awake. I think the boat caused my equilbrium to be all wacked up. Who knows.

A: Yes. Still unknown cause but I have had them since I was 5 and im now 18. I get migraines too. Topamax and solpadol with ibuprofen help a bit, but not much. i had daily headaches and magraines that sent me to the er until i started taking topamax and inderal about 15 to 18 years ago. i started on low doses and now i''m on 300mg of topamax and 160 mg of inderal daily and i can truly say that maybe i''ll get a hint of a headache if things get really stressful around me but for the most part i haven''t had a migraine in 5 years. hope this has...

Q:

headaches EVERYDAY FOR 4 YEARS

A: Hi Cameron, Welcome to Healing Well. Sorry you have been suffering with these headaches. Is it a Neurologist that you have seen about them? Do you only experience these headaches at night, or do you sometimes have them in the day as well? Do you get any other symptoms at the same time as these headaches that go away when the headache goes away? Is the pain on one side of your head or all over your head or in one...

Q:

living with never ending headaches

A: you are definitely not alone. I too suffer from Chronic Daily headaches with the added bonus of Migraines. Much like your situation, I wake up with the pain and go to sleep with it. The MDs have found no underlying disease to cause the headaches or migraines, and the testing has been extensive not to mention expensive. I really wish you luck in finding a solution to your pain. Living in pain is no way for you or those around you to live. While we have suffered daily forever, a normal thing for us and others like us, it...

A: Here are a few tricks that I have found have worked for myself and friends.... - Melatonin (it is a natural supplement and you can find it at almost any natural/suppliments store and at Wal Mart/ Wal Greens and so forth. The highest easily found dose is 3 mg., as it is not expensive you may wish to try the smallest effective dose. - "SleepyTime Extra" tea (herbal) by Celestial Seasonings...more effective then the original "Sleepytime" tea the Extra formula contains a herb called Valerian that makes it more effective....once again it is easily found....

Q:

what@@## is a diabetic seizure?

A: Hi Brittney, I''ve been diabetic since I was three years old and I''m twenty nine now, so I guess I may have had experiences with diabetes similar to the ones your brother has had or may have in the future. Is he a type 1 or type 2 diabetic? I am type 1, and your brother probably is too. A diabetic seizure is usually caused by what@@## we call a "low", also known as "hypoglycemia" or "hypo" for short, which means: low sugar levels in your blood. This can happen on diabetics. The solution when it happens is to eat something sweet, like cookies or even candy. Now, when you say...

Q:

Permanent Headache 24/7 problem for about 8 years

A: This is my first response to anyone''s post. I''m suffering from the same thing and I too have given up on doctors. How are you doing now in comparison to when you wrote this post? I''ve learned a few things about this condition through my trial and error process of finding ways to ease the pressure. Try this, if you haven''t already. Don''t try to make it go away on your own. Pray about it and go on with your day. Don''t try to lie down to often and expel the sensation because ultimately it makes the feeling worse, although on some occasions it feels as though I get...

A: my headache is not that bad, but constant, one side, and also occipital area. for about 3 months now. Perhaps you can check my main thread here about my one sided long lasting headache and see if yours is similar to what@@## I describe... Just know that you''re not alone, though. :) I wish you well . by the way, I notice this here with me as well: "...I really notice a difference in the pressure when I get up in the morning.
